Rick Simpson claims to cure cancer with THC. Seems like a scam/hoax. What’s the story behind all that?

Rick Simpson claims to have cured his cancer—specifically his skin cancer using marijuana. It wasn’t THC, it had more to do with the CBD in the cannabis oil that he extracted from the plant.

It’s important to note THC is the compound in the plant that alters your mood and makes you feel “high”. CBD is the other compound that doesn’t get you high, but provides serious health benefits.

His story is well documented (How Rick Simpson Discovered a Cure for (Skin) Cancer ) as is his generosity in offering to help others with getting cannabis oil. He is also on record for wanting to provide as much information to the medical community showing them what he did, and how he did it.

According to Simpson, the medical community is not interested in hearing what he has to say because they are aligned with the pharmaceutical industry. Now, I don’t know how true that it, but you can contact Rick Simpson and ask him directly.

The cannabis industry knows oils rich in CBD offer a wide range of health benefits, but it’s not a One-Size-Fits-All. Some oils need to be crafted to reduce seizures. Others are crafted to fight cancer cells. Rick Simpson’s oil (keep in mind there are knock offs that aren’t decarboxylated cleanly) was made specifically to fight skin cancer externally. We got our RSO from a dispensary in San Francisco where Rick Simpson belongs as a member.

In the case of my Mom, she did apply the RSO to her external skin cancer areas, as well as ingest it orally. The external treatment did cause her skin cancer spots to fade while the the ingesting of the oil did not help other ailments she has (pain and restless sleep).

Did it “cure” her skin cancer? It’s looking promising but still too early to say it worked 100%
