CBD & Cannabis for Cancer

Most patients mainly use CBD for cancer to mitigate pain, nausea, depression and more, because CBD alone does not cure cancer. THC, another cannabinoid, kills cancer cells, according to numerous scientific studies since the seventies.

Therefore CBD and THC oil (aka cannabis oil, RSO & weed oil) combined, form a great cancer treatment. Whereas Big Pharma medication shows rather poor results.

Your diagnosis: Cancer

You are diagnosed with cancer when some of your body’s cells start behaving in a rather abnormal way by dividing themselves in an uncontrolled manner. In addition, it’s also possible for some cancers to spread to other tissues.

A 2017 study, published in ‘Science Translational Medicine’ revealed that certain types of Chemotherapy actually boosts metastasis and increase the amounts of tumor cells circulating in the bloodstream.

But chemo not only spreads cancer, it also boosts relapses, for tumor cells to come back stronger than before.

Medscape states that 1 in 2 males in the U.S. will develop some kind of cancer during their lifetime in the near future.

Your risk is maybe higher or lower than these numbers, depending on your particular risk factors. But probably when you read through the research section of this article you will see that cannabis and CBD cancer treatment has proven to be rather effective. Chemotherapy, on the opposite, doesn’t work 97% of the time (PDF).

Difference between THC (Cannabis) & CBD (Hemp)

THC and CBD are maybe the most known cannabinoids from the cannabis and hemp plants. In origin Cannabis, Hemp and Marijuana are all the same. However, over the years people used them for different strains and for rather different purposes.

Hemp is the old English and Germanic word for Cannabis, which is the same Latin name for the same plant. During the late thirties when the U.S. government decided to finally outlaw cannabis, they took the Spanish name Marijuana, to scare and most of all confuse people.

Doctors and Patients conned out of cannabis treatment

Because up to 1935 almost every doctor prescribed cannabis and it was available in almost every pharmacy in the US and Europe. By demonizing ‘marijuana’ most people didn’t even know it was the same as cannabis. Consequently, the anti-cannabis dogs avoided an uproar and the anti-marijuana bills could be pushed through Congress.

Nowadays, there is, however, a distinct difference between cannabis and hemp. Cannabis is high in THC and low in CBD. Whilst growers especially bread hemp with high CBD and very low THC, calling it industrial hemp. Below 0.3% THC, it’s legal in almost every country in the world.

THC & CBD Impact on Cancer

The CBD (Cannabidiol) effect rather amplifies the working of cannabinoid receptors, consequently improving the effectiveness of THC and other cannabinoids. Therefore combining them together is extra effective as a result.

In addition, CBD also relieves pain, nausea, and vomiting, rather often accompanying cancer. But besides that, cannabidiol (CBD) has also many other health benefits.

To make this easy for you we compared the different hemp (CBD) products and made a pie chart of their exact cannabinoid profile. First and foremost CBD oil for pain and the best Cannabidiol Oil for anxiety are CBD oils that you usually put either under your tongue or consume orally.

When you are dealing with skin issues (acne, rash) or even skin cancer, it’s most effective when you apply a THC and/or CBD cream directly to the affected area. For skin cancer, you definitely need to apply THC.

Laboratory studies

Already in 1978 lab tests on mice revealed a significant tumor reduction after 10 or 20 days of treatment with THC. It seems like cancer is one of the most researched diseases with regards to cannabis and CBD treatment.

Therefore, we have gathered just a sample of the many studies out there which can be found in the Scientific Research Study section of this article.

And once you start reading through them you will probably wonder why our medical system in 2018 is still using basically only three treatments for cancer: Surgery, Chemo, and Radiation therapy. These last two destroy more in your body then they cure. So, this kind of treatment is like killing a mosquito with a cannon.

A 2012 medical article stands out amongst a bunch of politically correct studies by calling the things as they are: Marijuana Fights Cancer and Helps Manage Side Effects. It describes how a young Spanish biologist Cristina Sanchez discovered during lab tests in 1998 that THC was killing cancer cells.

Following that 1998 discovery in Madrid, Spain other scientific lab tests independently confirmed that THC kills cancer cells and that cannabinoids have more potential than just mitigating cancer symptoms. In a 2010 scientific study, scientists could prove that Delta(9)-THC and cannabidiol acted synergistically to inhibit cell proliferation.

Clinical studies

Dr. Manual Guzman led a team of Spanish scientists organized in 2006 for the first clinical trials concerning cannabis cancer treatment. Most noteworthy is that they treated nine brain tumor patients with pure THC. These patients had otherwise failed to respond to the common brain treatment therapies at the time.

A silenced breakthrough

The results were astonishing and should have caused a medical breakthrough. All test subjects showed significantly reduced tumor cell proliferation. Consequently, it was published in the British Journal of Cancer advance online publication, 27 June 2006.

In 2010 an interesting clinical trial was carried out by JR Johnson.  He compared the efficacy of a THC:CBD mixture vs THC only vs Placebo in patients with intractable cancer-related pain. As a result, the trials proved that the THC:CBD mix was significantly more effective than THC and Placebo.

Anecdotal studies

“I am currently treating pro-bono over one hundred patients using medical cannabis” – Dr. Debra Kimless, MD.

As the medical scientific studies that are carried out, are greatly dependent on Big Pharma, whether you like it or not, there are not nearly as many cannabis-related studies and trials as could be. And besides that, many studies and trials focus on synthetic cannabinoids, which are pushed by Big Pharma to be able to go with the public trend and at the same time keep their factories running.

You can’t Patent a Plant

If we all would start medicating with cannabis plant medicine, Big Pharma would not be getting any money back from that, therefore they do not support and rather hinder scientific research on phytocannabinoids (cannabinoids from the cannabis plant).

What more proof do you want?

However, there is a ton of evidence out there of people self-medicating and curing themselves of cancer with cannabis. So, What more proof do you need if so many people cure cancer with cannabis?

One of the best known anecdotal cannabis-cancer-cure promotors is Corrie Yelland. In 2011 doctors diagnosed her with anal cancer and was given only two to four months to live. Instead of taking the radiation therapy which doctors recommended her, she self-medicated with cannabis and was declared cancer-free a year later.

Cannabis THC Oil Dosage for Cancer

For cancer treatment, two oils are needed. Cannabis Oil and CBD oil, which you need to obtain separately and take side by side or mix it yourself (Cannabis Oil = THC oil =  RSO oil).

Many cancer patients achieved positive results with a cannabis THC oil dosage of 1 gram or 1000 milligrams per day. This is quite a high dosage and by no means, you can take it from day one because of the psychotropic side effects. It needs to be build up over the course of three to five weeks using a Rick Simpson oil dosage road-map.

The treatment itself takes three months or ninety days with a total of 60 grams of THC oil. The most common way of taking the THC oil is sublingually (under the tongue) or orally. It is, however, important that you bring the cannabis as close as possible to the cancer source. This is the reason why patients rather often use anal or vaginal suppositories depending on the kind of cancer they have.

Vaping for Lung Cancer

In case you have lung cancer, we recommend vaporizing cannabis with a good quality vaporizer, parallel to sublingual treatment. This way the cannabinoids get in direct contact with the lungs, which can speed up the healing process. You can simply vaporize cannabis oils or extracts such as cannabis wax, isolator, or hash oil.

Be sure to get the right vaporizer since most of them are made for one purpose only. Yet some do have a modular attachments design to support various intake methods. The best results for all cancer treatments is probably achieved when people dose CBD in their preferred way along with the THC oil.

Hemp CBD Oil Dosage for Cancer

For cancer treatment, two oils are needed. Cannabis Oil and CBD oil, which you need to obtain separately and take side by side or mix yourself (Cannabis Oil = THC oil = RSO oil).

The recommended CBD cancer treatment dosage is at least 100 mg cannabidiol a day. Cancer patients have been known to take several hundred milligrams of CBD a day. Hence, start with 100 mg and look at the symptoms and increase with, for example, 50 mg increments.

Increase dosing if you had chemo

CBD mitigates the pain and also some of the psychotropic effects of the THC oil that you are using in parallel. Therefore by increasing CBD, you should also see a reduction of at least those two symptoms. If you took chemo or radiation, you’d rather need a much higher CBD dosing (a couple of hundred milligrams), to mitigate the pain, damage, and nausea caused by these barbarian treatments.

Instead of an oil, you can also use a CBD tincture one to three times daily. You need to put the drops of oil or tincture under your tongue for at least 60 seconds, then swallow and drink a glass of water.

Calculating CBD Drops

To determine how many drops of your CBD oil to take for 100 mg CBD (or other amounts), use our CBD oil dosage calculator. Alternatively, if pills are your preferred method of intake, take the necessary amount of CBD capsules daily. Taking more is not harmful so you can and should experiment as almost everyone is different.

Can I Overdose CBD?

A CBD overdose is practically impossible. It’s known and scientifically proven, that CBD is non-toxic even at extreme doses of 1500 mg per day. Hence for over thousands of years, nobody recorded a single death associated with cannabis use. Years of research on the topic showed there is no fatal overdose level with cannabis use.

‘Big Pharma’ however, often hurries their meds through the approval process which then end up on the market barely tested for three weeks.

Since CBD is non-psychoactive as opposed to THC, it is even safer since you don’t have to deal with the side effects. Many of our readers reported that CBD counteracts the high or stoned feeling, caused by THC. However, you should experiment and see what works best for you.

Our poor pets share our sufferings. CBD oil for dogs proved an effective mitigation for pain, whilst reducing nausea and vomiting, and other symptoms that are also present in dog cancer patients.
